Wifi Facilities at VIT Chennai

  • Data Usage per month: 50GB
  • Speed: 10Mbps / 1.25MBps
  • Latency: 3-4ms (really great)
  • Wifi Blackout between 00:30-04:30 is followed
  • Upto 2 devices can be enrolled for every student to access the network.
  • The network is MAC Restricted and will work only on the registered devices.
  • Can be used in Hostels and Library only.
  • Internet labs are available for browsing and other purposes in case you don't want to exhaust the data in the plan.

    Airtel works the best as they have boosters inside the hostel so you get great speeds, Followed by Jio which works great in some parts depending on your room. Avoid any other connections as they will not work well at all and will have frequent drops.
